美國謬思設計獎 MUSE Design Awards|The Row
The sun falls, the shimmering river and mountain scenery come into view.
The light and shadow apply a new filter to the simple and matte material.
The changes in details and light make every part of the home a scene worthy
of a frame.
The public space combines a dining area with a tea room to create a
spacious and open leisure space. With a focus on long-term living, the
design avoided excessive clutter and carefully considered the selection of
materials to reduce cleaning burdens. The result is a harmonious space with
an interesting twist - walnut wood frames demarcate the boundaries of the
space, while the interplay of light and shadow lends a sense of
dynamism.
The space is unified by an earthy color scheme, with the highlight of the
warm wood tones of the central display case. The rhythmic arrangement of
modern furniture adds to the sense of balance and harmony. In the bedroom,
large floor-to-ceiling windows bring in natural light, while the deliberate
use of a deep gray-blue color scheme creates a playful yet refined
atmosphere, with clean lines and minimalism.
The building itself boasts spacious windows that allow for an unobstructed
flow of light and air. The designer made the most of this feature by
simplifying the layout, avoiding complex and winding pathways, and creating
clean, uniform lines that make the interplay of light and shadow a key
feature of the space. Using the same material in different ways, they
reduced material waste and environmental impact, creating a modern and
refined space with a focus on cleanliness and aesthetics.
